The Henry Fool Trilogy Boxed-Set
Boxed-Set contains all three films in the Trilogy:
HENRY FOOL (1997), FAY GRIM (2006), and NED RIFLE (2014)
"THIS IS THE KIND OF FILMMAKER THAT APPEARS IN AMERICA ONLY ONCE OR TWICE IN A GENERATION."
- THE GUARDIAN
"(A) UNIQUE CREATION... ANY FILM FAN SHOULD BE ABLE TO RECOGNIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF THESE FILMS AND THEIR PLACE IN THE HISTORY OF INDEPENDENT CINEMA"
- THE PEOPLE'S MOVIES
Three entirely separate films made over nearly a generation, treating different subjects in various styles—but with the same oddball family at the center of it all.
This beautifully designed and crafted box set of the restored Henry Fool, Fay Grim, and Ned Rifle was directly overseen by the filmmaker. It is the first and only time the three films are presented together, with Henry Fool finally in HD and the 5.1 surround sound mix of Fay Grim fully restored.
INCLUDED IN THE BOX SET:
A 16-page booklet with numerous rare photos from the production of the films and a new essay by Tom McSorley, a long time commentator on Hartley's work and Executive Director of the Canadian Film Institute.
Documentary: Making Fay Grim or How Do You Spell Espionage? (2007)
Promo Clip: Some Days in April (2014)
SUBTITLES: ENGLISH, SPANISH, FRENCH, GERMAN and JAPANESE
